committed

Perhaps I should be.

Because I just received confirmation of my entry into the Autumn Leaves 50 Miler in October.

Looking forward to checking another experience on my "big honkin' to-do list of awesomeness", but I'm processing just what exactly I will be expecting my body to do.

I'm sure there will be some good training tales coming out of this one.

Strange things I saw on my runs in the past two weeks:
A dude running completely barefoot and wearing jeans.  And he wasn't running slow.
A guy riding his bike pulling his child's baby carrier - which was not carrying a child but rather an enormous Great Dane

  1. Carrying a great dane? WOW - now THAT is a workout - those guys are heavy!

I always think its weird when I see guys at the gym working out in jeans. What is up with that? Seems like it would be so uncomfortable.

  2. Yay for the 50 Miler! I'm looking forward to your training. I can't imagine training in jeans. Pulling a Great Dane I can actually imagine.

  3. So are you going to do a mile warm up and a mile and a half cool down, so you can say you did two marathons in one day? I wish you all the speed in the world on that, but, um, your nuts. In a good way.

  4. That's awesome about your 50 miler!! I'm going to be doing my first one in March!! I know it's a ways off but I'm stoked to train for it!

Wish I could have seen the guy in the jeans running barefoot! Maybe he was chasing someone or the pavement was cold :)
