Running Relay Packing List (Hood to Coast, Portland to Coast, etc)

If you have never done a relay race before, trying to figure out what to pack can be a challenge. I am fortunate to be on a team for the Portland to Coast which is highly organized; they send out a list of items to bring that is comprehensive. Considering that the year before I joined their team I forgot to pack extra underwear (don't do that!!), I am very grateful to have their help as I build my gear bag. Here's their list:

Clothing -
Friday, Saturday (Place each legs' clothes in separate Ziplock bag for your ease)
1st leg – shorts, top, sports bra, underwear, socks, shoes, cooling walk scarf, light sweat jacket/ long sleeve t-shirt
After leg – flip flops/ Birkenstocks, fresh socks (use for leg #2), new shirt, regular bra, tank top
2nd leg – shorts, top, sports bra, underwear, socks, shoes
3rd leg – shorts, top, sports bra, underwear, socks

Health & Beauty Aides
Deodorant/ BodyGlide
Make-up (?)
Hair brush/Comb
Toothbrush & Paste
Face cloth & Towel
Soap, shampoo, conditioner
Sunscreen
Tampons / Band aids
Lip balm
Personal medications

Food Items
Lunch for Friday (sandwich, roll, yogurt)
Snacks - protein (peanuts, string cheese), carbs (bananas, bagels)
Drinks - Sports drink, water
Chips & Dip

General Items
Sleeping bag & pillow
Music/ CDs/ Ipod
Flashlight/Headlight
Spending $ (beer garden, Sat & Sun food $)
Alarm clock
Driver’s license, bank card
